Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is a American TV personality who is a chef, and a former instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She is the host of her own Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her famous spiky blonde hair and pumped-up persona on the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, reveals simple and easy to master methods for cooks at home. The chef Burrell is also a seasoned veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She also has learned about Italy's food traditions and its culture and the surrounding landscape. As a child in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was inspired by food. She pursued her love of working in the restaurant business by enrolment in The Culinary Institute of America after obtaining a degree in English and Communication from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was where I had the most enjoyable time of my life. It was impossible to learn, do or work enough. After graduating, chef Burrell resided in Italy for a year, taking classes at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Also, she was employed at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin star restaurant) located in Tuscany. The chef gained an knowledge of Italian culinary and cultural traditions during her stay in Italy that has informed the way she cooks. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens children who are facing challenges. She is also an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she promotes the awareness of juvenile diabetes. As a speaker, she is on the road to share her passion for food and her culinary career. Anne always felt fortunate that she could share the passion that she had for cooking with others.
