Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist and currently competes with the UFC flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, a former UFC Flyweight title holder as well as UFC other fighter, is her elder sister. Antonina Shevchenko, an experienced Muay Thai boxer started her professional fight career during her first IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won this tournament by unanimously defeating Suzane Miller. Antonina Shevchenko took home a second medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008, a gold in 2011, and then was named the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in 2016. Antonia started her professional journey at the age of 23 in 2003. She has taken home numerous championships, including the K-1 World Champion, Lion Fight Lightweight Championships, and WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was in the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She won by a unanimous decision. Antonina Shychenko's professional MMA debut came in 2002, at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She won via second-round TKO after which she won 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to achieve a record of 3-0. Shevchenko was a dedicated kickboxer after which she took a lengthy break from MMA. She came back to fight in 2017 and faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a unanimous win. She went on to defeat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She left the promotion in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina used superior striking in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body while in the clinch. Antonina Shevchenko received the UFC contract after the victory. Antonina made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight following her first fight via an unanimous decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss by prevailing Lucie Prudilova's battle at UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler with a back naked choke submission. This was by far the most exciting fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko was 2-2 over her next three bouts she won against Ariane Lipski while falling to Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
